Public Works Department still Waiting for BPK Investigation Result

Jakarta Public Works Department Head, Manggas Rudi Siahaan, denied of issuing command to 44 sub-district public works section heads to accommodate the City Budget (ABPD) to private accounts. This case is still investigated by Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

“There were no (such) command and instruction to sub-district public works section heads. There was only instruction No. 365/2013 to echelon III officials who are division heads and sub-department heads to conduct activities (worth) above Rp 100 million using DKI Bank account, not private accounts. BPK is currently investigating this case, and Public Works Department is waiting for the result of it,” stated Siahaan to beritajakarta.com, Thursday (5/29).
Previously, Gambir Sub-District Public Works Section Head, Umi, acknowledged that the budget for road repair was disbursed through her private account. Because of that, she is questioned by BPK. According to her, the budget was coordinated by Jakarta Public Works Department. But, she admitted did not remember how much the budget was.

Umi refused to detail the use of budget disbursed to her private account. But, she claimed that the budget has been used to repair roads in Gambir Sub-District.
“Everything has been conducted. Just ask to head section from Public Works Department,” she told.
